Hello Everyone :)
It's been a week since I've made an entry. I find it hard to come up with things to write about that anyone would find worthy of reading but, that's never stopped me before.
Recently wedding plans have filled my mind. Even though I'm not completely thrilled that my daughters are getting married, I've tried to just resign myself to the fact that they are and throw myself head on into the planning of the weddings.
I ordered my dress for my oldest daughter's wedding online and received it today. It's too big but, my SIL is a wonderful seamstress so I'm hoping she can help me out. My youngest daughter was able to see it in an email I sent to her and her response to me was, "It's very pretty Mom but I think you could sex it up a bit more" HELLO! I'm the Mother of the Bride, not the girl who jumps out of the cake at the bachelor party! haha, she's a hoot!
As soon as I find the picture of her wedding dress, I'll post a picture of it too. She's beautiful in it. I think I even saw a tear in her Dad's eye when she stepped out of the dressing room. I think he caught a glimpse of the price tag!
Be honest, should I "sex it up it up a bit more"?

Oh honey, I've seen the pictures you've posted of yourself. At least have that sheer overlay cut away from the neck. That's not "sexing it up" - just giving it your own personal touch :) Mother of the Bride doesn't mean candidate for a convent!

It's a perfect dress for a mother of the bride. It'll look perfect. As far as sexing it up? Nah. Not for this occasion. Afterward you can cut out the entire upper front panel, but I'd wait.

LOL! Your daughter is hilarious! I can see why she would say it though - you hardly look old enough to be the mother of a bride!
It's a beautiful outfit (it's a skirt and top, right?) for a mother of a bride to wear. You could consider bringing the hemline up a bit so that it was tea-length maybe instead of floor-length. That wouldn't exactly "sex it up" but it might make it a little flirtier. :) :)
